Season 2 kicks off with the FLUX project

Mediabox
Our podcast Hors d’Œuvre is back for a second season!
After a first edition full of inspiring encounters and discoveries, we continue our mission: to give a voice to the projects and people we support, and to share their stories with a wider audience.
To open this new season, the first episode focuses on a major public health issue: preventing falls among older adults. One in three people over the age of 65 experiences at least one fall every year – a figure that highlights the urgency of raising awareness and taking action to preserve independence and quality of life.
In this episode, we sit down with Martine Hoffmann (Head of Research at GERO – Kompetenzzenter fir den Alter) and Thorben Hülsdünker (LUNEX University), who present the FLUX project. Through hands-on workshops and innovative research, FLUX raises awareness of fall risks and helps develop practical solutions.
Together with our guests, we discuss:
- why it’s important to start early to stay mobile and independent;
- the connection between cognition, motor skills and balance;
- and how FLUX opens new perspectives for improving quality of life as we age.
An episode that sets the tone for this new season, reflecting our commitment to spotlighting the people and projects that are shaping positive change in Luxembourg.
