From February to June 2017 meetings and workshops on photography took place between applicants for international protection (AIP) and the Luxembourgish photographer Patrick Galbats. The AIP’s from the shelter in the Grand-Rue in Esch-sur-Alzette accomplished, together with the photographer, a photographic work (book and exhibition). Throughout the entire period, the objective was to define the perspective of each AIP on its host country, Luxembourg. Over the course of these five months the participants learned the essentials of photography (technique, framing, light, philosophy etc.). Furthermore the encounters made possible a crystallization of the clichés, which lead to a collective exhibition at from the end of October to mid-November at the Theatre of Esch.
