The new Centre National de Collecte et de Tri (CNCT, National Collection and Sorting Centre) deals with donations of clothes. It is situated at 6, rue François Hogenberg in La Cloche d’Or and is the result of a combination of existing activities carried out by Caritas Luxembourg and the Red Cross Luxembourg.
The synergy created provides the best solution for meeting the urgent clothing needs of asylum seekers, refugees, migrants, the homeless and anybody else in need, thanks to the support of the people of Luxembourg. The CNCT avoids wastage by reusing items of clothing that would otherwise have been destroyed, and ensures their fair redistribution. The CNCT provides clothes in good condition to the “changing rooms” of the Red Cross and the “Kleederstuff” of Caritas Luxembourg.
People in need of clothing can choose from the items on display, offering a symbolic sum to cover expenses.
