As part of its 2030 strategy, Œuvre Nationale is reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development.
From now on, project leaders are encouraged to prioritise, whenever possible, environmentally responsible solutions.

This new approach, called Greenline, applies across all our areas of action. It reflects our determination to support the ecological transition while encouraging initiatives that anticipate today’s climate and social challenges.

What does this mean in practice?

When reviewing one-time support requests, projects that incorporate sustainable choices will be positively considered.

This may involve, for instance:

  • purchasing an electric rather than a conventional vehicle,
  • using recycled or environmentally certified materials,
  • opting for energy-efficient equipment.

Even if such solutions may entail higher initial costs, they contribute to reducing the environmental footprint in the long run, and often prove to be more cost-effective over time.

And what about educational trips?

Specific criteria are now taken into account. Travel-related projects may receive up to 75% support if they meet at least two of the following conditions:

  • accommodation with an eco-responsible label,
  • a carbon offsetting programme,
  • educational activities linked to sustainable development,
  • low-impact mobility options during the trip (public transport, cycling, walking, etc.).

Through this new Greenline, Œuvre reaffirms its commitment to actively engaging in societal transformation, including its environmental dimension.
