As part of the ongoing fulfilment of its mission in the public interest, Œuvre Nationale is currently offering two opportunities within its organisation:

  • a Project Coordination Assistant position (fixed-term contract)
  • an internship (3 to 6 months)

Both opportunities are aimed at motivated individuals who wish to contribute to projects with strong societal impact, working closely with organisations and stakeholders active in the fields of Social Affairs, Culture, Environment, Sports & Health, and Remembrance & Heritage.

Fixed-term contract – 6 months (40 hours/week)

To cover a temporary absence, the Œuvre is recruiting a Project Coordination Assistant.

Main responsibilities

Working closely with the Project Coordination team, you will contribute to the analysis and monitoring of funded projects, including:

  • Analysis of funding applications: supporting the coordination team in reviewing project proposals and advising project leaders
  • Project follow-up, support and evaluation: assisting with the operational monitoring of funded projects and assessing their impact through written reports and, where necessary, on-site visits
  • Writing and documentation: preparing internal assessments for funding applications and drafting minutes of meetings

Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (BA/MA), preferably in humanities, social sciences or project management, or equivalent professional experience
  • Interest in one or more of the Œuvre’s fields of action: Social Affairs, Culture, Environment, Sport & Health, Memory & Heritage
  • Strong interest in projects with social impact and public-interest themes
  • Excellent command of Luxembourgish (spoken and understood) and French (spoken and written); good knowledge of German and English
  • Strong writing, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the non-profit or voluntary sector is considered an asset
  • Structured, reliable and analytical working style
  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage several projects simultaneously

Main responsibilities

As an intern, you will support the team in a range of daily tasks, including:

  • Administrative follow-up of project files and funding applications
  • Assisting in the preparation of internal documents and meeting minutes
  • Participating, where appropriate, in project follow-up activities or on-site visits
  • Providing support in communication tasks, such as drafting content or sharing information about projects and the Œuvre’s activities

What the internship offers

This internship provides insight into the work of a public institution engaged in financing projects of general interest. You will gain hands-on experience in project coordination and monitoring, administrative processes and external communication.
You will also become familiar with the non-profit and philanthropic sectors, while contributing to initiatives with tangible social impact. The internship offers opportunities to develop teamwork skills, manage multiple tasks and strengthen organisational abilities.

Profile

  • Student currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s programme (BA2 or BA3 preferred), ideally in project management or a related field
  • Interest in one or more of the Œuvre’s areas of action
  • Strong motivation for projects with social impact and public-interest issues
  • Excellent command of Luxembourgish and French; good knowledge of German and English
  • Previous voluntary or associative experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
