Léon Losch, Director of Loterie Nationale, will retire at the end of 2027, after 33 years at the Loterie Nationale, 27 of them as Director.
Following a recruitment process that began in May 2026, the board of directors of Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte unanimously appointed Loïc Hoscheit as his successor on 30 September 2026.
A transition period in 2027
Loïc Hoscheit will join Loterie Nationale on 15 February 2027. A transition period will ensure a smooth transfer of knowledge. At the end of 2027, he will take charge of Loterie Nationale and also join Œuvre's management team, alongside the Director in charge of philanthropic activities.
A career combining sport and numbers
Loïc Hoscheit is 36 years old and a Luxembourg national. After attending the sports class at Lycée Aline Mayrisch, he went on to study in Paris, where he obtained an MSc in Management from ESSEC Business School.
He began his career at Amaury Sport Organisation before joining Winamax, where he was Head of Sports Betting Trading. These roles allowed him to combine his two great passions, sport and numbers, in environments where analysis, rigour and teamwork play a central role.
Since October 2023, he has been Director of the Agence Luxembourgeoise pour l'Intégrité dans le Sport (Luxembourg Agency for Integrity in Sport, ALIS), formerly the Agence Luxembourgeoise Antidopage (ALAD).
Serving the community
"It is with great enthusiasm, but also with humility and a deep sense of responsibility, that I look ahead to this collaboration with Œuvre. I am convinced that together, and within the framework of the responsible gaming rules that have guided Loterie Nationale since its creation, we can support meaningful projects that serve the community, " says Loïc Hoscheit.
Danièle Wagener, President of the board of directors, welcomes Loïc Hoscheit's appointment: "The board of directors is convinced that Loïc has the skills and strengths needed to meet Loterie Nationale's future challenges and to pursue the strategic plan drawn up by Léon Losch, who has been at the helm of Loterie Nationale for almost 30 years."
