Œuvre is pleased to announce the results of its "reNature – Restoring Biodiversity" call for projects. Launched on October 10, 2023, this call aimed to support any action aimed at protecting and/or improving biodiversity in Luxembourg, in a context where human activities have a harmful impact on ecosystems.
The degradation of biodiversity, resulting in part from climate change, pollution, and deforestation, is a global problem that requires urgent action. Therefore, the call for projects sought to mobilize concrete and positive initiatives in this direction in Luxembourg.
At the end of the project submission deadline on January 10, 2024, the Organization received a total of 61 applications, demonstrating a strong interest from the community in biodiversity conservation.
We are delighted to see the enthusiasm and commitment of the community to restore and protect our precious biodiversity.
Danièle Wagener President of the Board of Directors of Œuvre Nationale
The jury, composed among others of external experts, met on February 26, 2024 and carefully examined each of the requests. At its meeting on March 6, 2024, the Board of Directors of the Organization gave final approval to 32 projects.
