Strengthening collaboration for more inclusive participation
At the initiative of Œuvre, stakeholders involved in “sport for all” met on 7 February 2025 to get to know one another better and exchange ideas about their initiatives. The meeting aimed to share field experiences, identify opportunities for collaboration and mutual support, and strengthen connections between committed organisations.
It also provided an opportunity to explore areas where Œuvre could offer practical support to foster the development of sport that is more inclusive and accessible to everyone.
Shared challenges
Five main priorities emerged from the discussions:
- Improve coordination between stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and make it easier to guide participants.
- Enhance access to activities by reducing barriers related to mobility, equipment and information.
- Strengthen the skills of coaches and facilitators through tailored training.
- Support voluntary engagement, which is essential to the functioning of clubs.
- Increase awareness to make inclusive sport more visible and encourage participation.
Œuvre’s role
In light of these findings, Œuvre can play a facilitating role. It can help structure initiatives and support stakeholders across several areas:
- Connecting organisations and encouraging exchange
- Supporting the accessibility of activities
- Assisting with the development of training opportunities
- Strengthening communication and awareness-raising
- Clarifying the framework for action in the field of sport and health
Towards a collective dynamic
This meeting confirms a shared ambition: to make sport accessible to everyone. By structuring collaboration and supporting initiatives, it is possible to sustainably strengthen the social impact of inclusive sport in Luxembourg.
