Following the success of the first edition in 2023, which supported more than 30 tangible environmental initiatives, Œuvre Nationale is launching its new call for projects, reNature 2 – Restoring Biodiversity.

Biodiversity – a vital pillar of our quality of life – continues to decline, threatened by pollution, the loss of natural habitats, and the effects of climate change. With reNature 2, Œuvre aims to inspire local, sustainable and creative initiatives that bring nature back to life and strengthen the connection between people and their environment.

“With reNature 2, we want to support noticeable initiatives that breathe new life into ecosystems and inspire a transition towards a more nature-friendly way of living, ” says Petra Penders, Project Coordinator at Œuvre Nationale.

The call is open to non-profit organisations – associations, foundations, public institutions, Social Impact Companies (SIS), as well as schools and universities – wishing to take action for biodiversity in Luxembourg. Projects may focus on agriculture, wildlife, plants, aquatic ecosystems, pollinators or environmental education and awareness-raising.

With a total budget of €750,000, reNature 2 offers funding of up to €50,000 per project for a maximum duration of 24 months.

Project proposals can be submitted until 15 December 2025 via Œuvre’s online platform.

Do you have a project for nature?

Each supported project should make a real contribution to biodiversity in Luxembourg and help build a society that is more aware of – and respectful toward – all forms of life.
