Making tennis an inclusive sport, where every difference becomes a strength – that’s the vision of Tennis Spora, opening the court to everyone, without exception.

Making tennis truly accessible to everyone — that’s the goal behind Tennis for All, an inclusive programme launched by Tennis Spora. Built around three pillars — adaptive tennis, blind tennis (for visually impaired players), and wheelchair tennis — the initiative provides high-quality, tailored coaching for people with physical, mental, or sensory disabilities.

This project is very close to my heart. I’ve always wanted to make a positive impact in people’s lives – and combining that with my passion for tennis is a real privilege.

Launched in September 2021, Tennis Pour Tous has grown steadily and become increasingly professional. Today, the club offers around ten hours of lessons per week for its different groups. Thanks to reduced pricing, the programme remains accessible to all families, with no financial barriers. And the response has been overwhelmingly positive: classes are full, feedback is glowing, and new projects are already in the works.

Challenges to overcome, a community to build

Getting started was no easy feat. As is often the case, promoting an inclusive initiative takes time. It took countless calls, demonstrations, and discovery days to reach the right people and gain the trust of families. Creating well-balanced groups, tailored to each participant’s level and needs, was also a real logistical challenge.

“Without the support of Œuvre Nationale, this project wouldn’t have been possible. They connected us with the right partners, including the LPC (Luxembourg Paralympic Committee) and several associations in the sector. That network allowed the project to truly take off.”

Today, that effort has paid off: a strong community has taken root, built on trust, progress, and shared joy.

Quiet victories… and world titles

The greatest reward? The students’ small victories. Their smile after a training session. The pride in learning a forehand. The joy of simply hitting the ball.

“Tennis has become a real source of joy for our students. It’s now part of their lives. Their appreciation is my greatest reward.”

And sometimes, progress leads to podiums. In September, Liz Conzemius, trained through the blind tennis programme, became world champion in her category. A huge source of pride for the club, and proof that anything is possible, even from a simple beginner’s class.

A growing, evolving project with a long-term vision

Tennis for All is a living project that evolves with the needs and ambitions of its participants. The team is constantly learning, adapting, listening, and adjusting its approach. This flexibility, this human-centered philosophy, is at the core of the programme’s success.

In the long term, Tennis Spora aims to make adaptive tennis a fully integrated part of its regular activities. The goal is to sustain and expand the programme and inspire other clubs to do the same. Ultimately, it’s about building a truly inclusive tennis environment, where leisure and performance go hand in hand, in a spirit of respect and care.

Sport is a tool for inclusion – a driver of development. Everyone deserves the chance to play, to grow, and to thrive. Together, we make that happen.
